“I had been looking for the perfect program for me when I got an email from Veronica asking if I was ready to enroll. I joined and loved the group then took the next step to talk to Veronica personally. That one call was life-changing! I enrolled in the program and have never looked back. I don't miss drinking and in fact, look forward to our weekly coaching calls and I love the women I have connected with in my group. If you are looking for a real person—not just a video—then this coaching program is for you. I guarantee you will love Veronica and being sober as much as I do.”

Don’t Just Get Through Each Day—Build a Life You Love

Do you ever find it hard to imagine what’s possible for you because you’re knee deep in your “stuff”? Like you’re just trying to get through the day—but the days don’t feel particularly better than they did before, even if you’re sober.

And yet you know that there’s got to be more to this sobriety thing.

You are not alone. Most of us go through a period of uncertainty during our sobriety. You don’t have to face this alone. In fact, Chip and I firmly believe that you can’t do it alone.

You are doing the best you can with what you’ve got. You just need some gentle nudges to help move you in the right direction—and reminders of what is possible and how to get there.

"I joined the group early on in my sobriety. The program was very focused and it felt a very safe container to be open, vulnerable, and to reach out when needed. I would recommend it to anyone starting the journey to sobriety as it will give you the tools to deal with situations and triggers. It will also help you to find the root cause of your alcohol abuse and show how to move forward."

Break Through Your Negative Patterns

Here’s what the Breakthrough Sobriety program can do for you:

  • Give you confidence in social situations and help you to feel comfortable in your own skin—no matter the crowd.

  • Help you to communicate clearly and calmly with difficult people in your life.

  • Give you tools to process difficult emotions in healthy ways rather than numbing them or keeping them all inside.

  • Help you rewrite the negative patterns in your life by identifying the limiting beliefs that drive unwanted behaviors that are keeping you stuck.

  • Provide tools for you to develop the self-awareness required to build deeper relationships that honor your values and feel fulfilling.

  • Give you the means to create real, meaningful, lasting changes that pivot the trajectory of your life and put you on a path that feels RIGHT.

  • Show you how to ride the waves when emotions run high (or low), rather than letting them crash your boat (or get you carried away).

  • When the stress of life feels overwhelming, you’ll have tools to ground you, balance you, and give you a sense of purpose and direction.

  • When your limiting beliefs take over, you’ll recognize them and instead begin to use a growth mindset to free you from damaging thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

  • When loneliness sinks in, you’ll learn to reach out to others—even though it feels vulnerable—rather than withdrawing, because you know that’s what real courage looks like.

  • When relationships erode, you’ll know how to reconnect with your values, create firm boundaries, and remember that you are not responsible for others’ actions and behaviors—so you stop taking things personally and feel the freedom that comes from that.

  • We work on all of this and so much more inside Breakthrough Sobriety.

“I decided to join to connect with other people seeking long-term sobriety and to learn new skills that support this path. Veronica and Chip have decades of experience that allows them to guide the group in a productive manner in each session.

The program helped me identify some of my limiting beliefs, provided more confidence and courage, and connected me in a personal way with others in the group.

I have been able to continue the growth on my own, especially following the 1-1 interview. I am now better prepared to continue growing and facing fears, and to imagine so many other possibilities of what life can bring in sobriety.

Veronica Valli is changing the narrative on sobriety. With 20 years in recovery and 17 years’ experience as a recovery coach and psychotherapist, she understands that there is no ONE path to recovery.

Author of books Why You Drink and How to Stop, Get Sober Get Free, and upcoming Soberful (to be published by Sounds True), and co-host of the Soberful Podcast, Veronica has helped thousands of women not only recover from alcohol but also transform their lives.

Veronica teaches that alcohol is not the problem—it’s only a symptom of a deeper underlying problem. She helps women dig deep, embrace change, and become who they are meant to be. “I help you reveal yourself to yourself,” she says.

Veronica works with women all over the world through her successful and innovative online recovery programs. Now based in the US after relocating from the UK, she is married and lives on Long Island, NY with her husband and two sons.

Chip Somers is a successful psychotherapist with a practice in Harley Street, London. He has run several rehabilitation centers throughout his 33-year career. He deals with people who have tried to sort themselves out but need that extra bit of input to help them get better and get through the mess they are in.

Chip has been instrumental in many people's recovery from alcohol and drug abuse. In particular, Russell Brand dedicates a whole chapter to Chip in his new book Mentors: How to Help and Be Helped. Chip is married with two adult children. He has been continuously sober since 1985.

Love notes from our members

“Working with Veronica changed my life. She helped me find the tools to begin to heal and create a picture of a full beautiful life in sobriety. On one of our first calls she told me that my life could be in full color. I didn't believe her but today I can honestly say that sobriety is beyond anything I could have ever imagined when I reached out to her on that dark January day. Veronica took my hand, stood by my side, and rooted me on when I didn't know what to do next and thought I had to go at it alone.

Her words, inspiration and tools are engraved in my heart and I go back to them over and over again to find strength, understanding, and a way forward. I am so grateful to have had her guidance and support as I began on one of the most difficult journey’s of my life. I am forever grateful for Veronica and her work.”

“I just did the program with Chip and Veronica which was life-changing. What I learned and integrated into me was that I need a range of tools to help me navigate life and manage my mental, emotional, and spiritual health... The benefits of doing [the] work with some support is that you are guided to insights and awareness... It’s funny, I used to drink to cope with the crazy busy life. Now I see it was the reason I wasn't coping."

“The program helped me overcome negative thinking and realizing I didn’t have to face this alone. It helped me look at my family of origin and realise I am doing the best I can! And making new friends with the other women was a true plus!”
—Eve

“I was sober for three months before joining the program, but I knew there was deeper emotional work to be done. I didn’t want my life to be just abstaining from alcohol, but I wanted to explore why I was drinking and how to grow and embrace life more deeply.

From my first discussion with Veronica, I knew it was the right fit for me. In the program, through the support of Chip and Veronica and the wonderful relationships with fellow participants, I was able to more deeply connect with my authentic self, the reasons why I drank, and go further in the work to live a beautiful and fulfilled sober life! The support, wisdom, acceptance, and emotional safety in working with Chip and Veronica has helped me grow in my sobriety and life and I am incredibly grateful.
But truly, I am incredibly grateful to you and Chip and I love working with both of you. You both bring something so different and special to the table. Even though this has all been virtual, I feel completely loved and accepted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Group coaching is a very effective way to achieve transformational growth. We often feel that we are alone and cannot see a clear way to move forward. In reality, the challenges we struggle with are actually very common. This group will be hand-picked to ensure it is a safe-supportive space. Guided and supported by Chip and Veronica, who will ensure you gain the tools you need to grow and change. Group coaching is much more affordable than individual coaching.

The group coaching calls will be recorded and available to view for about 7 days. This is to ensure that everyone stays up to date if they happen to miss a session.

The personal coaching sessions are a chance to go deeper into the reasons you drank and how your thinking is holding you back. We’ll spend time focusing on the areas that will help you change your mindset so that you can change your life. We will give you tools to do that and personalized feedback along the way.
