Compliments From Our Members

More Compliments from our Members

"Celebrating 8 Months Today!

The early days of sobriety were easier than I expected. But then I realized being sober was about a lot more than "not drinking."

I am so glad to be here, taking the next step in my recovery. Working on processing emotions, letting go of codependency, and balance. I am looking forward to learning to cope with all of the things that kept me drinking for 10 years. The workshops this week have been great!

I am heading on to 9 months and looking forward to accomplishing my first year."

— Soberful Life member

"Yesterday, I hit one year sober! I honestly can hardly believe I have made it this far. My daughters are so proud of me, which makes it all worthwhile.

I have been struggling for the past few days, wondering why I am doing this, wishing I didn't have to do this, missing drinking, etc. But I now realise that I get these 'down times' occasionally, and I just have to wait for it to pass. And it does, always! I am now feeling more hopeful and generally happier.

This [group] has been a wonderful support."

— Soberful Life member

“If it’s possible to truly “enjoy” a site such as this—this is the one! I have felt welcomed from day one. I don’t visit as often as I should, but when I do, I feel welcomed, not judged, and like I fit in.”

— Beth

So, what is the secret to lasting sobriety?

Getting sober is an inside job. And while we won’t tell you that it’s easy, we WILL tell you that it’s so much easier than continuing to drink.

You don’t actually have a drinking problem. Instead, you have been using drinking to help “solve” problems that drinking only worsens.

And to get to the bottom of all of this, you have to show up, look inside, and get to the heart of what’s really going on.

That’s what it takes. And the good news is that everything you need to get sober is on the inside.

You have what it takes.

Soberful Life is for you IF:

  • You are having trouble staying sober.

  • You feel like you can’t get past the struggle of early sobriety (even if you’ve been sober for a while).

  • You haven’t reached that amazing sober life everyone keeps talking about even though you have stopped drinking.

  • You are bored with your sobriety.

  • You’re struggling in relationships.

  • You’re having trouble finding or connecting with new friends.

  • Your emotions are all over the place.

  • You feel stuck, overwhelmed, afraid, and want support.

  • You have substituted one addiction for another (food, exercise, sex, etc.).

  • Your sobriety is going pretty well but you feel like something is missing.

Veronica believes that alcohol is only a symptom of a deeper underlying problem, and that to recover, thrive and become the women we are truly meant to be, we need to embrace the process of change.

Now based in the USA, she works with women all over the world through her online programs, Facebook groups and one-on-one or group coaching. Veronica is married and lives on Long Island with her husband and two sons.

Chip Somers is a successful psychotherapist with a practice in Harley Street, London. He has run several rehabilitation centers throughout his 34-year career. Louise offers support and relatable advice from her own recovery journey to bring the true connection to the growing Soberful Life community.

Tiffany North is an intuitive eating coach and a registered nurse who healed her own relationship with food and then went on to coach clients to do the same. Intuitive eating is not a diet. Yulonda Ross is a Licensed and Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC and ICADC), and is in the process of becoming an empowerment life coach.

Leeny Barrett joined Soberful Life two years ago after hearing Veronica speak at a Women for Sobriety conference. She has been in recovery for three years. After attending Veronica’s Sober Mindset training in February 2020, Leeny answered a call to growth and resigned from her position as a program manager in the electronics industry where she has spent most of her career.

Leeny has been a moderator for the Soberful Facebook group and recently took on a new role as Soberful’s Project Manager. Leeny and her husband of 27 years reside on Long Island, NY with their dog and two cats. Leeny enjoys winter getaways in the Pocono Mountains of PA and summers on the Jersey Shore.

She has a particular interest in treating women during perimenopause and menopause and spent six years focusing on and treating women with sexual health concerns. She is an EFT (emotional freedom technique) practitioner. Mimi has been in recovery from alcohol addiction for 15 years.
