A Personal Invitation...

Over our seven months together, I will mentor and coach you in the practice of sobriety.

What is a practice?

You don't need a sobriety toolkit to get and stay sober; you need a personal development practice. When we know how to take care of our mental and emotional health, our sobriety takes care of itself. Alcohol abuse is not the problem; it is a symptom.

We look for outside fixes to inside problems. A personal development practice is the habits we have to navigate life successfully. It's the ability to self-reflect, get out of our own way and shift our perception.

A perception shift means we can see things differently, which means we feel differently and take better actions. Then our whole life changes. Instead of being stuck in the same pattern with the same results, a mental and mental health practice gives us the power to transform our lives. That is what Veronica has taught for over twenty years.

This program is for you if:

You have tried to stop drinking on your own and failed.

You keep stopping and starting.

You know there are emotional roots to your drinking, and you are ready to be free.

You are willing to do what it takes to create the life you deserve.

Which is why this program is different. There is more to stopping drinking than just stopping drinking. Everyone has to do personal development work (the development of oneself); it's just most people don't.

An alcohol problem is simply a call to grow into this deeper work.

And this work has been calling you for a while.

The Practice of Sobriety is for women who:

  • Are looking for support and community to deepen their sobriety...
  • Want to create meaningful relationships with other sober women...
  • Want to understand why they feel the way they do...
  • Desperately want to break free from negative patterns...
  • Want to resolve the past and create a different future...
  • Want to transform their lives and be free of alcohol forever.

Sobriety is freedom in our minds.

Please keep scrolling to see testimonials from Veronica's past
clients and how their lives have changed for the better. Yours can too.

How it works:

The Practice of Sobriety is a multi-layered program to address the more profound emotional work. Over eight months, Veronica will fully support you in breaking unhealthy patterns and develop a practice to maintain your mental and emotional health.

What this program includes:

Full Assessment with Veronica.
Your first call with Veronica will be a 90-minute assessment. Veronica will get a complete history (early childhood, relationships, drinking history) to support you appropriately.
Seven-month group coaching with 8-10 other women.
The central part of this program is the weekly coaching calls. Each call is 90 minutes, and we will work on the different modules.
Two-and-a-half-day in-person retreat*
The retreat is where we dive into the resentment work. At the end of our two days together, you will know exactly how to clear your resentments, shift your perception and use this practice in your daily life.

What We Cover

The Resentment Practice

Veronica will teach you how to use a life-changing (we do not use that term lightly) practice that will shift your perception of everything.

Limiting Beliefs

We will identify the beliefs that hold us back and transform them into something that empowers us. Our belief system is formed in childhood and shapes our life experiences.

Balance and Boundaries

We cannot be successful and happy if we cannot identify our needs and have boundaries to meet them. We will practice how to have boundaries throughout the program.

Early Childhood

By understanding how our childhoods shaped us, we can see behaviors, beliefs and mindset that no longer serves us. We can let go of the past, make peace with it and step into fully formed adulthood.

Relationships and communication

Relationships are our life task, and we will be exploring our patterns in romantic relationships and friendships. We will also learn how to communicate more effectively.

Fear, Resistance and Self-Sabotage

We all have patterns of self-sabotage that prevent us from growing. We will learn what yours are and how you can successfully navigate through them.

How to use EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)

as a self-regulation tool.

The Practice

What underpins this whole program is the development of a practice to support your mental and emotional health for the rest of your life. Each module of the program fits together in a way that enables this to happen.

How does it work?

Through the group calls and retreat Veronica will guide you to develop a personalised sobriety practice.

Some of the work is through structured journaling (a method Veronica teaches that helps us to reveal ourselves to ourselves). Each module will build on the last until they all fit together.

With two decades of experience working in rehab, private practice and coaching, Veronica will support you to stop drinking and transform your life. During our time together, we will delve into why you drank, make behaviour changes, and uncover the parts of ourselves holding us back. There will be videos, handouts and homework to support the live coaching.

How do I join?

Please check out Veronica's credentials and work before applying. There is a dearth of sobriety support services online led by unqualified, inexperienced and unsupervised 'coaches.' Veronica has taken thousands of clients through this work for over twenty years. There are no tips or tricks. This is profound, personal and transformational work. It is the work we must all do, and who everyone would benefit from. It is the work that changed Veronica's life. This is your invitation to change yours.

Testimonials from Veronica's former clients....

Check out Jen's amazing story of how working with Veronica helped her heal her childhood, recover from cancer, start dating again and completely transform her life.

Meet Sheelagh; she took one of my programs two years ago, and look what happened:

“When I met Veronica, I was 2 yrs sober but completely lost, I still didn't understand myself, was full of fear, and I knew I would not stay sober unless I could find some sort of peace and trust in myself. Counselling had not got me there so far, nor had fellowship attendance on its own. Working with Veronica was like nothing I have ever experienced before and it completely changed my life. Her skills in helping people navigate sobriety and its challenges are beyond exceptional, her wisdom and experience is vast, there is nothing she cannot help you through. It felt like being held and supported in the most utterly solid and fearless hands, with endless compassion and belief in me when I couldn't believe in myself.
I was finally able to face myself, address my fears, and learn to trust myself. Veronica returned me to myself, and I have never felt more peace and more connected to myself and the people I love.
I thought this was an impossibility for me. My life is not perfect, of course, but I love my life, and I love being sober. I am able to live sober through the ups and downs, take responsibility for and learn from my mistakes, and I am able to show up authentically for myself and those I love. What a gift it has been to work with Veronica; I am forever grateful.”

“I didn’t know what to expect coming to the retreat. I was nervous and excited at the same time. I just knew that I had to trust in the process, trust Veronica’s expertise and be receptive. It was more than I hoped for. It opened my eyes to more than a drinking but why I drank and how to work on the whys.”

- Dana, Retreat participant
"Veronica makes no small promises about her programs, going in she promised me this work would be transformational. The retreat was incredible, I went in not really believing that things could ever change for me; spent two days doing hard emotional work with other brilliant, flawed, wonderful women; and left starting to see glimmers of hope. There are the whispers of a new voice in my head that is compassionate and believes in me. I have never heard her before. Now I can’t wait to continue with the program and see how things will continue to change over the coming months. I’m still terrified most days, but the difference is I know Veronica has my back 100%. I know she will hold me up when I can’t believe in myself, and that if I keep putting in the effort I will keep seeing changes."

Wait, there's more...

"Kickstarter Program was a game-changer for me. I was able to reach deeper into the roots of my problematic drinking, have many realisations and be ok with being vulnerable with the pear group for the first time in my life. The program gave me great tools to stay balanced and keep working on my painful past. After working with trained professionals it is easier to stay sober and I wish I had an opportunity to take part in it many years ago."

"Sobriety means so much more to me now than just being addiction free. It’s about having balance and a loving sense of self that helps to dissolve the sources of and reasons why I sought out destructive and self-medicating solutions in the first place—to escape from my feelings. My drinking was a well-intentioned but misguided act of kindness because I didn’t have the necessary tools to navigate my life without assistance.

Well—I found the help I needed, right here with Veronica’s 5 Pillars Program and the support of the Soberful Life team and members. I no longer rely solely on willpower (which had always failed eventually when I got fatigued). I now have access to the skills, resources, and a sober community of supporters to travel with me on my journey of growth. In the words of the wonderful poet: Robert Frost, “And that has made all the difference.”

"Absolutely loved the content and the tools Veronica built and brought to the program. The vast knowledge, experience, energy, and support of the Soberful coaches allowed me to understand more about the addiction and trauma and absorb the knowledge about the tools to work through my beliefs and struggles. Knowing that being in the process is a natural way of being brings a lot of comfort, acceptance and compassion.. Thank you Soberful! "

- Ewelina
"This program helped me to look at myself more closely and gave me tools to realize my true worth and not depend on someone else's determination of my worth. It affirmed that I am a worthy person just as I am and that my needs matter even when others may not agree.I felt accepted, not judged, and heard for who I am.The growth from my time in this program is invaluable...Thank you to Veronica and Tamara."

- Nancy
"I just wanted to touch base and tell you how much this group has meant to me and how you have changed my life. I have learned that I am important, I have a purpose , and I am so worth the effort. I am coming up on 5 months of sobriety and I feel so happy and relieved of burdens that I never really knew were there. I am looking forward to doing the workshops and continuing my journey. Again, I don’t have the words to express my gratitude for what you have done for me. I thank you so much. You are doing a wonderful thing and you are making the world a better place."

- With love and so many thanks, Lynn
"Working with Veronica has been life changing for me. For years I wasn't happy with my drinking and had made many positive changes in my life by doing yoga and meditating but the drinking thing while its frequency was reduced it was still hijacking my life. I didn't want to be drinking but for some reason I couldn't totally give it up, it was a vicious cycle. I've seen numerous therapists over the years on top of never being asked about my alcohol consumption. They always told me I seemed fine, but I knew deep down something wasn't fine in me. Through my work with Veronica I now know what that something is and have been able to begin the work of processing it. My life is so much better now, I have an amazing group of sober friends and a positive, fulfilling life that I can see this is only the beginning. I highly recommend working with Veronica, it will forever change your life."

"Soberful has saved my life. I had been looking for the perfect program for me when I got an email from Veronica asking if I was ready to stop drinking and that the enrollment would end November 1st. I joined and loved the group then took the next step to talk to Veronica personally. That one call was life changing! I enrolled in the program and have never looked back. I don't miss drinking and in fact look forward to our weekly coaching calls and I love the women I have connected with in my group. If you are looking for a real person ~ not just a video ~ then this coaching program is for you. I guarantee you will love Veronica and being sober as much as I do."

- Carla
"Just wanted to let you know that your “How” saved me. I love doing the work because I love what I’m learning, and I “do the work” daily. I started getting serious about quitting at the beginning of 2020, and as of March 29, 2023, I will be TWO Years Sober! Life is so much better. Just got a puppy, I’m still exercising daily, I’ve retired (mostly), and I’ve gotten back to my health care routine, which feels good to be accountable to myself for my health.Thank you. Never going back."
